It will \\\"glean\\\" all of what Google \\\"tags\\\" or deems as public information from the visitor on the landing page or email. For this example, any time that we had a legitimate click that Yelp would charge us for, this code would verify that is was a legit person and not a bot. So anyway, the deal I had with Yelp was for one month... towards the end of the month, on the Friday afternoon before the LABOR DAY WEEKEND, I verified that I was yet to receive a legit click from Yelp. Monday morning the 2nd, I received an invoice from Yelp that says, in essence, on the last day of the month, a Saturday, I received 29 clicks on one location, 32 on another and 9 on the Gillette location. Even without my little insert of HTML coding I would have had to call \\\"BullShit\\\" on this one. Did Yelp mean to tell me that although they failed to deliver a legit click for 29 days, on the last day of the month, over the labor day weekend, 70 people took Saturday to shop Yelp for a Kitchen Remodel and clicked on my page. One of the first give away signs of a BOT is that you see the click but after that all resemblance to a human is gone. In this case, they all came from the same IP address meaning one person or bot clicked on the same ad 70 times, in 3 different locations and then failed to take any further action. I kept reading the invoice and BOOM the total amount due is $2,174 minus $300 Yelp credit = $1,874.20 \",\"type\":\"unstyled\",\"depth\":0,\"inlineStyleRanges\":[{\"offset\":111,\"length\":8,\"style\":\"BOLD\"},{\"offset\":139,\"length\":6,\"style\":\"BOLD\"},{\"offset\":1503,\"length\":10,\"style\":\"BOLD\"}],\"entityRanges\":[],\"data\":{}},{\"key\":\"6u76e\",\"text\":\"I refused to pay the bill, I requested an audience with the powers that be at Yelp and I explained my position to them. Although the use of this type of code is intrusive, it is not illegal in any way. Per my agreement with Yelp I was able to design and access any landing page used in the advertising campaign. I threatened to expose them in my circles and that I would be happy to get involved with their legal department. They left me alone for almost two years and then I see that they turned my $1,874.20 bill over to a collector. I immediately got involved on my end and sued them in my local small claims court for violating the FDCPA and the FCRA. They failed to show up, the court fined them for $2,250 for each violation, and dismissed my invoice. Poor Yelp, I bet when they tried to steal a couple thousand from me they never considered how much it was going to cost them. To this day, I have no access to my Yelp account. If someone goes there and leaves a review, I have no way to address it or to say thank you.
